Our fixed-price contracts ensure you don’t have to worry about unexpected costs. You’ll be guided through every step of the design and selection process by Daniel Davies himself, with the help of his New Homes Consultant. Our dedicated Project Manager and Project Coordinator oversees the entire build process, ensuring the highest standards or workmanship in your home and continual communication with you.
Our in-house design team captures your vision and facilitates the building consent process. Since we have in-house designers, we are able to quickly update plans if you make any changes, or if the council requires additional information, saving time and money.

We will schedule regular site visits with you and provide you with access to our cloud-based project management tool, which will let you see the construction process in real time 24/7. Your new home can be tracked as it is being built so you can keep track of its progress.

To ensure your build experience is as enjoyable as possible, you’ll be taken care of by our dedicated team. The journey begins with your New Homes Consultant and Managing Director, Daniel Davies, along with his design team. With their help, you’ll be able to design your custom home, select all your fixtures and fittings, specifications, and colours. You can also take advantage of our Design Hub for ideas and inspiration, and see all your options first-hand.
Our highly skilled Project Manager oversees the construction of your home, ensuring the highest quality is maintained. In conjunction with our Project Manager, our Project Coordinator ensures that your project runs smoothly from start to finish. She is your first point of contact during the build and keeps in constant communication with you. Meanwhile, Daniel Davies continues to supervise the project to ensure the highest quality.

You’re definitely going to love your decision to design and build your beautiful new home with us. Here’s what happens at each stage of the building process when you choose Davies Homes
1. Visit Us
Come and visit us at our office in Te Awamutu, home to the Davies Homes Team and our impressive Design Hub. Meet our friendly team who will answer any questions you have, and show you examples of our work.
2. Initial Design Meeting and Site Visit
3. Concept Design and Fixed-Term Quote
Following one or more concept meetings with Daniel, a design concept will be produced, along with a cost estimate for the entire build. Once you have signed off on this, full 3D images will be prepared. Your selection of fixtures and fittings throughout the home are documented. Learn more about our Free Design and Estimate service.
4. Contract and Building Consent
5. Colours, Finishes and the Finer Things
While your plans are at council, our team will set up a series of meetings with you at our Design Hub. Here we will help you choose the colours and finishes of your new home. You’ll meet with the electrician, kitchen designers, carpet people and more. Your assigned Client Liaison Manager will arrange all of this for you. These choices complete your vision for your home, so have fun! Learn more about our Design Hub.
6. Construction Begins
As soon as we receive consented plans from the local council, we will confirm a build start date with you and from there, we will be able to provide you with an indicative timeline. Our team will show you how to use our cloud based software to show you what is happening with your build every step of the way. You will have regular site visits with your Project Manager so you can see the progress of your new build. You can rest assured knowing Daniel personally oversees each build. Progress payments will be required as per the contract.
7. Quality Inspections
We make regular quality inspections throughout the build process. You are also invited to walk through your home at key intervals such as the Window Walkthrough and Electrical Walkthrough, to name a few.
This keeps communication clear and organised and helps us nail the details together, and allows you to see for yourself how well your new home is being constructed. Naturally, each stage of the build is signed off by Council via the building inspection process. Once your new home is completed we make a full, final quality inspection with you at our Pre-Handover meeting, ensuring everything is perfect and ready for your move-in day.
