Daniel Davies

Managing Director / New Home Consultant

If you ever needed to feel like your vision, time and money were in the best possible hands then look no further – Daniel Davies, is not only the Managing Director of Davies Homes, but is our specialist New-Home Design Consultant.

Daniel recalls building Lego towers with his maternal Grandfather at the age of 4, telling him that he was ‘going to be a builder’ when he grew up. Well, Daniel certainly kept his word. Self employed by the age of 18, Daniel was building complete full-contract quality homes.

By 2007 Daniel knew there was a strong need for the Builder to be more involved in the design and drawing side of the building so from then has worked with an In-House Architectural Drawing Team-which stood him out from the crowd. In 2012, a re-brand and a more professional structure of the company seen Davies Homes (2012) Ltd emerge and well, the rest is history.

Daniel, from a rural background, likes getting out and about and never sits still for long. He is always working on the next project and looking for new and exciting building projects which keep the Davies Team on their feet, while Daniel’s children keep him on his!

Amy Davies

Financial Officer

Amy has been involved in the day to day running of the company since meeting Daniel in 2003. Her role has progressed over the years to managing accounts, payroll, and the company’s finances.

Amy is also highly involved in the interior design of our Show Homes which gives her great inspiration for herself in the future. Amy and Daniel have four children which keep them on their toes and although juggling work and family can be hard Amy wouldn’t have it any other way.

Amy works alongside the rest of the team to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes and ensure Davies Homes provides the highest quality in all areas of its trade.

Hamish Williamson

Quantity Surveyor

Hamish has worked in the construction industry since 1988, gaining extensive experience in many areas including shed and house design and construction, earthworks, project management and quantity surveying.

Hamish’s time outside work typically involves spending time with family, exploring the outdoors or chasing fish on his kayak.

Jake Nicholson

Project Manager

Jake joined the Davies Homes team in 2016 as a qualified builder before moving into the Project Manager role. Jake works alongside Catherine to take care of your project once the building work has commenced, and he takes pride in ensuring your project is completed to the highest standard and in a timely fashion.

His excellent management skills, attention to detail, and personable attitude help all our builds run efficiently whilst finishing to the highest standard. Jake and Catherine are your first point of contact throughout the building stage.

In his spare time Jake enjoys spending time with his young family, and any hobbies that get the adrenaline pumping.

Terry Scott

Senior Architectural Designer

Terry Scott, Davies Homes Senior Architectural Designer, has been building and designing homes for close to 40 years.

With his extensive knowledge of the construction industry and exceptional problem-solving skills, Terry can easily take your vision and turn it into a reality while finding practical and affordable solutions to keep you within budget without compromising the aesthetic look of your project.

If Terry isn’t behind his desk, you can find him either on the golf course or spending time with his gorgeous Grandson.

Brooke Kerkhof

New Homes Consultant / Marketing

Brooke began working with Davies Homes in early 2022, joining the team as Office Administrator and Marketing.

Starting with Show Home hosting and developing Davies Homes’ sales tools both online and offline, Brooke began to develop more of a client-facing role, until eventually becoming a Design and Build Client Consultant working alongside Daniel.

You will meet Brooke right at the beginning of your building journey as she assists you in creating your dream home. She will guide you through the design and selections process ready to sign your contract and begin building. Throughout the building stage she is your first point of call working alongside Jake, continuing to assist with all your needs right up to the official handover.

Monia Baird

Accounts & Office Administration

Monia has joined the Davies Homes team running the Office Administration and Accounts. Providing essential support to the team, her organisational skills and strong attention to detail helps with the smooth running of the office and is the first point of contact for accounts payable.

The majority of her employment experience has been in administration and recruitment, and prior to joining the Davies team she has worked in the plumbing/construction industry for a number of years.

Originally from South Africa, Monia lives in Cambridge with her husband and two daughters. Outside of work she enjoys exploring the beautiful outdoors NZ has to offer, spending time with her family and running.

Zach Smith

Draughting Support

Zach is our dedicated draughting support professional. Zach’s journey in the building industry has been driven by a commitment to quality and a passion for innovative solutions.

With years of experience in the frame and truss sector of the building industry, Zach joined Davies Homes in 2025 to develop his skills further in the new-home industry. His extensive knowledge and hands-on experience make him an invaluable member of our team, always ready to tackle new challenges and deliver exceptional results.

Outside of work, Zach enjoys staying active by playing football, cricket, darts, and volleyball. His love for sports reflects his team spirit and dedication, qualities that he brings to every project he undertakes. Whether he’s on the field or at the draughting table, Zach’s enthusiasm and expertise shine through.

Danielle Port

Draughting Support

Danielle joined the Davies Homes Design Team in 2025, bringing with her a strong background in graphic design and a growing passion for architecture and interiors. She is currently working toward her Diploma in Architectural Technology while gaining valuable real-world experience on the job.

Having grown up in the Waikato area, Danielle is proud to be part of a team creating homes in her local community. Outside of work, she loves spending time with friends and family, exploring new places through travel, and getting creative through thrift shopping and scrapbooking.

With her eye for design and fresh creative perspective, Danielle is excited to help bring your dream home to life.

Harry Smith

QS & PM Support

Harry joined the Davies Homes team in late 2024 after graduating from Victoria University of Wellington with a Bachelor of Building Science, majoring in Project Management.

As Quantity Surveyor and Project Managing Support, Harry works closely with both Hamish and Jake to help projects run efficiently from behind the scenes. He also leads the Health & Safety department, making sure everyone on site gets the job done right — and gets home safe.

Harry brings a strong work ethic, a keen eye for detail, and fresh perspective to the team. Outside of work, he enjoys rugby, basketball, socialising with friends, and spending time on the water fishing.
