Daniel Davies

Managing Director / New Home Consultant

If you ever needed to feel like your vision, time and money were in the best possible hands then look no further – Daniel Davies, is not only the Managing Director of Davies Homes, but is our specialist New-Home Design Consultant.

Daniel recalls building Lego towers with his maternal Grandfather at the age of 4, telling him that he was ‘going to be a builder’ when he grew up. Well, Daniel certainly kept his word. Self employed by the age of 18, Daniel was building complete full-contract quality homes.

By 2007 Daniel knew there was a strong need for the Builder to be more involved in the design and drawing side of the building so from then has worked with an In-House Architectural Drawing Team-which stood him out from the crowd. In 2012, a re-brand and a more professional structure of the company seen Davies Homes (2012) Ltd emerge and well, the rest is history.

Daniel, from a rural background, likes getting out and about and never sits still for long. He is always working on the next project and looking for new and exciting building projects which keep the Davies Team on their feet, while Daniel’s children keep him on his!

Amy Davies

Financial Officer

Amy has been involved in the day to day running of the company since meeting Daniel in 2003. Her role has progressed over the years to managing accounts, payroll, and the company’s finances.

Amy is also highly involved in the interior design of our Show Homes which gives her great inspiration for herself in the future. Amy and Daniel have four children which keep them on their toes and although juggling work and family can be hard Amy wouldn’t have it any other way.

Amy works alongside the rest of the team to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes and ensure Davies Homes provides the highest quality in all areas of its trade.

Catherine Wetton

Project Coordinator

Catherine has been with Davies Homes since the beginning of 2018 in the Client Liaison role after engaging with Davies Homes as a client. Recently, her title has been changed to Project Coordinator to reflect the expansion of her role as she is more involved with the management of the building projects.

The majority of Catherine’s employment background has been in HR and Administration, and the organisational and communication skills she brought with her have been incredibly valuable. Catherine’s experience as a client is also incredibly valuable, having built five new homes and the last two being built by Davies Homes, she has a unique understanding of all her client’s perspectives. She has excellent insight into the customer experience and is especially helpful to those who are building for the first time.

Catherine lives in Cambridge with her husband and has a grown up family. She enjoys gardening, being outdoors and spending time with family and friends. Catherine will be there to answer your questions and assist you throughout the entire build process.

Hamish Williamson

Quantity Surveyor

Hamish has worked in the construction industry since 1988, gaining extensive experience in many areas including shed and house design and construction, earthworks, project management and quantity surveying.

Hamish’s time outside work typically involves spending time with family, exploring the outdoors or chasing fish on his kayak.

Jake Nicholson

Project Manager

Jake joined the Davies Homes team in 2016 as a qualified builder before moving into the Project Manager role. Jake works alongside Catherine to take care of your project once the building work has commenced, and he takes pride in ensuring your project is completed to the highest standard and in a timely fashion.

His excellent management skills, attention to detail, and personable attitude help all our builds run efficiently whilst finishing to the highest standard. Jake and Catherine are your first point of contact throughout the building stage.

In his spare time Jake enjoys spending time with his young family, and any hobbies that get the adrenaline pumping.

Terry Scott

Senior Architectural Designer

Terry Scott, Davies Homes Senior Architectural Designer, has been building and designing homes for close to 40 years.

With his extensive knowledge of the construction industry and exceptional problem-solving skills, Terry can easily take your vision and turn it into a reality while finding practical and affordable solutions to keep you within budget without compromising the aesthetic look of your project.

If Terry isn’t behind his desk, you can find him either on the golf course or spending time with his gorgeous Grandson.

Brooke Kerkhof

New Homes Consultant / Marketing

Brooke began working with Davies Homes in early 2022, joining the team as Office Administrator and Marketing.

Starting with Show Home hosting and developing Davies Homes’ marketing online and offline, Brooke began to develop more of a sales role, until eventually becoming a New Homes Consultant working alongside Daniel.

Brooke lives locally in Te Awamutu, having grown up in the area since her early teenage years. She enjoys spending her spare time with her friends and family, and her Sunday afternoons hosting our Show Home, ready to show you all through. You will meet Brooke right at the beginning of your building journey as she assists Daniel and the Design Team in creating your dream home. She will guide you through the design and selections process right through until you’ve signed your contract and are ready to begin building, at which point she will introduce you to our fantastic Build Management Team, Catherine and Jake.

Lisa Janes

Architectural Designer

Lisa has recently joined the Davies Homes team with 10 years of draughting experience under her belt, and has extensive knowledge in designing residential properties. She has a passion for turning a client’s vision into a reality and finds the custom design aspect of the job most exciting.

Lisa works hard behind the scenes with Terry to draw up your home, from the very first concept design to full set of working drawings, council submissions and any amendments you might make along the way.
